Schnackel Engineers was also chosen as the MEP/FP engineering services provider for yet another high profile mall expansion and remodel of Westfield Galleria at Roseville. Opening in the Fall of 2008, the addition and remodel of over 430,000 square feet will include enough area to add over 100 new retail stores, restaurants and multi-featured common area. The challenge on this project for Schnackel was that two new concourses cut through already existing retail tenant base, joining MEP/FP systems already in place. Extensive coordination with the local utility provider, as well as open lines of communication with the owner proved critical as the project evolved.
