Schnackel Engineers was selected as the MEP/FP engineering consultant for this 90,000 square foot auto dealership in West Omaha. The Vilage Point Toyota dealership project included 23 service bays, a carwash, one alignment bay, two undercarriage bays and three detail bays, in addition to two self contained 2-bay paint booths. Schnackel’s experience with commercial office, retail showrooms and flagship-type stores offered great insight to the design aesthetics of the sales and administrative aspect of the dealership. Our knowledge of codes and experience with automotive sales and service projects assisted in the technical design of the facility as well. The electrical needs of specialized equipment of the facility were a major piece of the design. The plumbing system included oil interceptors in the waste system, as well as compressed air piping sized for many different types of pneumatic equipment needs throughout the facility. HVAC design addressed the needs of radiant heat in service areas and more common RTU driven air in the sales area. In the end we delivered the overall vision of the architect and, more importantly the owner.
