Schnackel Engineers provided comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the Mexican Sugar restaurant in Houston, Texas. This project involved remodeling a two-story, freestanding building encompassing approximately 12,859 square feet. The innovative design includes two bars, dining areas, a semi-open kitchen with custom barreled windows, and a visually engaging tortilla-making station. Significant attention was given to enhancing curb appeal through architectural elements such as tiled entryways, wood details, and unique balconies. Custom fixtures and vibrant interiors reflect authentic Mexican culture, contributing to a dynamic ambiance suitable for intimate dinners, social celebrations, and casual brunches.
Schnackel Engineers collaborated closely with Zebra Global Architects to ensure optimal functionality and aesthetic appeal throughout the space, delivering a project that blends operational efficiency with exceptional guest experience.
