Schnackel Engineers was recently chosen as the MEP Engineering provider on the 18,500 square foot remodel of First Data Corporation’s Omaha based Global Credit Command Center.

With its several years of experience in the data center and telephone exchange project categories, Schnackel Engineers capably designed the center, which handles on average over 31,000,000 credit card transactions per day. A few of the challenges faced by our design team were that the system could not be “taken-down” during the remodel, and the minimization of noise during actual construction had to be taken into consideration as well. The enormity of the technical nature of the project dictated a large, very specific power requirements. The project required additional coordination to allow for the seating layout and the main monitor wall. The desired aesthetics of the center were also an important consideration while handling the mechanical and lighting design of the project as well. Our overall expertise allowed us to arrive at a design which well exceed the owners expectations.
