Schnackel Engineers was selected as the MEP/FP consultant for the Banco General Office Complex in Panama City, Panama. The project, which consisted of 330,000 square feet of new construction, office category, as well as 293,000 square feet of parking structure challenged the firm from the standpoint that it was its initial foray into the design of large-scale projects on an international scale.

The data-center aspect of this project required Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) and three large generators to maintain the integrity of storage in the event of power failure. Our experience in providing systems design for large scale projects with varying needs made it much easier to coordinate the unique challenges of this high-output, highly efficient headquarter facility for this international banker.
